How do we polish concrete floors?
- We grind the surface of the concrete floor with industrial diamonds, starting with 40-grit metal bond diamonds, followed by 80 grit, then 120 grit, to reveal a pristine, stain-free surface.
- We densify and harden the concrete surface by using a penetrating liquid Lithium Silicate hardener, which reacts with the concrete to produce insoluble calcium silicate hydrate within the concrete pores. If the client has requested a color finish, we begin the process of staining the concrete. We offer a variety of concrete color options.
- Then, we continue grinding the surface with resin-bond diamonds. Depending on the customers choice, we can stop at 400 grit or continue our way up to 800, 1500 and 3000 grit diamonds.
- Finally, we seal the floor with a concrete sealer that provides improved surface sheen and stain protection.
