It’s important to keep our roads and bridges safe after new construction has taken place!
Oftentimes, we are called in for surface preparation and resurfacing jobs for high traffic bridges in the tri-state area. Recently, we visited the Burlington Bristol Bridge to grind down hot spots on new sections of the bridge.
Take a look:
The bridge, which spans the Delaware River from Burlington, New Jersey to Bristol Township, Pennsylvania, is set to receive improvements throughout 2020 and we were happy to be a part of it!
In order to make the bridge’s surface even, we use a process called concrete scarification, which strips several inches of the concrete to remove any old surfaces. Then, we shot blast the surface to prepare for a fresh resurfaced system that adheres to industry guidelines.
